Tashreef Rakhiye!…

I did hear somewhere that the literal meaning of the phrase “Tashreef” is one’s “Hind part” or what is more dedicatedly called the “Butt”..

In that case, “Tashreef Rakhiye”,should mean please place your Butt!…

A striking similarity between the American English and Urdu goes something like this.

American English has a very high density of reference for the “Butt”, like… “Get your ass outa there”… “I’m gonna shoot his ass off”… And Urdu in a very similar manner greets people saying, “Please place your ass there”… ..

Now thats some similarity!….
