On 25th of February 2008, some Prof’s came to my college from Sheffield University, regarding some MOU stuff. And one of them delivered a lecture on a Student Formula Car. I will not be going into the intricacies of that lecture. But when the talks of the MOU between both colleges came out, a few things were high-lighted. Like Student Exchange, Faculty Training Pro grammes……… Well these are all obvious!
Thinking a l’ill different as always, I thought why not have a food court exchange?…. And who better to represent NIT H @ the United Kingdom, than TILAK?….. Well let the fair skinned taste the delicacies which we feast here, despite of a garbage bin, loitering dogs and a 7mm thick layer coated frying pan( my major is Mechanical, so will be finicky of Dimensions……. hahahahahahahah!)…..
Okay Okay, of all the absolutely jobless people in the world, I guess I am one!…. NO NO, this time I am pretty serious…. [:P] The world of Internet, and Chatting provides a breather of space for “Jobless” people like me…. That’s one place where you find all kinds of people….. Trust Me! All kinds….. And the Messenger’s ( I include Gtalk, Yahoo Messenger, and all other forms in this list ), have a very Unique thing called as the Status Message…… People who are addicts to chatting will know what am I talking about…..
Being jobless I decided to do a little bit of a research on these Status Messages…. I have broadly classified them into few categories…. I shall quote one example for every category….
1) The Super Senti Stat Messages: These are messages which will make the reader feel, why the heck am I alive on planet Earth?…. Example: ” If I were to die today, I prefer dying in your hands….. So that I can look into your eyes and forget the pain”…. Some such sorts…
2) Announcement Makers: These are such messages which people have to convey to many of their chat friends…. Example: “Oyyyy Mechanical 2nd year, The MD Lab has been called off tomorrow…. So Party through the Night”….
3) Attention Seeking Messages: Now these are the “Really Interesting” Stat Messages… Being jobless I keep looking at the Gray Icons on my chat list, to become green so that I have one more option to pass time on…. hahaha! A few of my friends( names concealed ), log in with messages like ” Out Leave Message”, ” ” I am not here right now”…. If these were the cases who the heck did log in on their accounts?…. Some Devil I guess…. haha! Actually by having such messages people want to seek attention from their friends, so that everyone asks them… “Hey where are you?”… ” Are you there?”….
4) Concise but Good Ones : These are messages which cover a wide variety starting from humor to valuable quotes: Example……………..
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Stop bugging people with boring Status Messages , put on your thinking cap’s and give me some examples such that I can fill in the Examples in the 4th Section…… Happy Chatting to All….. Cheers!
Recently I suddenly had to visit Delhi for some purpose…. And when I was coming back to college, at a point where the bus had stopped I found two sign boards saying…. Badsar(4), and Hamirpur(44)….
The interesting thing is yet to come, and just a few meters after these boards was a House which had the Name Plate:
“LATE” BALWANT SINGH THAKUR’s RESIDENCE….. I juss wondered which property dealer has started connections with the Mortal’s to sell them land to build their homes after “Death”…. LOLZ! [:P]
A question which recently popped up in my mind…. Where exactly will I be on February 15th, the next year?…. Or rather say to which place will I be heading to?
Feb 15th 2006: I was in a train, going all the way to Allahabad
Feb 15th 2007: I was in a train to Delhi
Feb 15th 2008: In the early hours, I again was in the same train to Delhi…
Don’t know where the “Next Year?”….
